Purpose of Life

peace to fellow readers who have been patiently keeping up with my blog. I have been busy with school work recently and I did not have time to work on new entries. I still have about one week of school left before the year end holidays kick in. This coming Christmas and new year must be the awaited celebration for many people around the world. Surprisingly not exactly for me, I dont regard Christmas as Jesus's(peace be upon him) birthday neither do I practice birthday celebration of anyone at all. I would love to give my viewpoint on christmas and birthday celebration according to my understanding. However it will not be in this entry, probably the next one if time permits.

Borned into this world every individual have their own choices on how to live their lifes. People can choose to be good or bad, defiant or obedient, rude or polite and many more. There are group of people who would be cautious when handling with life matters, they become sensitive to such matters beacuse they have developed something I would call "the purpose of life". Once someone begins to think of the purpose of his/her life, he/she would start considering every single action that is being carried out. However due to human imperfections and weaknesses many would abandon this critical question and they would continue to live a life without purpose. The logical reason for human to abandon this critical question is because we are very sensitive to changes around us, and when we start asking ourselves the purpose of life we are on the risk of losing our old way of life into a new life which is alien to us and we dont want to lose our old bad habbits because we are addicted and blinded by the bad habbits. Lets take smoking as an example, for those who are health conscious, they would take into consideration the harmful effects of smoking and for those who are unaware of the harmful effects of smoking, they would not have the sense of urgency to quit as there are no threats to stop them.

As we all should know the first key of success in life is to search for the true purpose in life, if not there is no meaning to what we are working for. Besides potentially changing peoples life, such critical questions also corrects a person life where they begin to avoid bad habbits and adopt the new good habbits. Once we see the weakness in us only then can we make the changes to our lives and abolish the mistakes that we have done knowing or unknowingly.

In our life journey the test of life would begin to become more challenging after we get to know the purpose of living a life. At that point of time one will be questioning what are the requirements needed to achieve one's desired purpose of life. When one start experiencing those(critical questions) thoughts, one would find out that life is not just for merely playing or entertainment, rather one start seeing the importance of striving and struggling to attain certain values or principles to move towards a new direction where even the smallest intentions plays a part in directing them towards the straight path in life. Looking at life in a holistic approach, one would consider in detail what categories do certain actions, thoughts, intentions belong too. These categories can be from a simple accepted and unappected into a more sophisticated categories such as obligated, highly recommended, not recommended, forbidden and the list goes on and on. Once someone is able to do this, one would understand that as human it is important for us to organise our way of thinking to understand the environment surrounding us and most importantly what is good and what is bad for us.

This simple entry could be seen as a form of preaching. I have no doubt that religious leader would use topic such as the one that I am using during sermons. Religion do guide and teach how to live a proper life, all religion teaches its followers to be a good and responsible inhabitants of earth. Most of the religion in the world teaches its followers to live peacefully with one another, in contrast no religion promotes terrorism, however the mistakes lies on the hands of the followers, where they make use of certain verses found on the religious scripture to convince others that the one and only way for resolution is by the means of terror which could be used to achieve what they themselves desire, what have done here is contradicting to the original teachings of many religion across the world. Therefore it is important for us to hold on tightly on the true teaching of a religion and we have to constantly study these remaining scriptures that is with us today. If we dont study and practice it from now, this surviving scripture might dissapear from the face of earth one day or others such as terrorist would misuse and mislead others

In my version of "Purpose of Live", there is a main different of that to the versions that are coming from religious prespective. If you noticed, I do not include the attributes of any particular God, in which might have been very different to a religious version. In the religious version what-ever that is going to be conveyed would always have its relation to God, example "God would love a particular group of His followers who are constantly remembering his/her purpose of life as His creation." we have to understand that in a religious context, topics regarding life must be bundled together with other sub-topics to become the blessings from God, so that followers could glorify and acknowledge that God is almighty. Dont get me wrong, Im not denying that the law of life has got nothing to do with God, Im a monotheist believer(believe in one almighty God), but my version happen to be very different from any religious version where there is an absence in God's attibutes. The reason for doing so is because, I think it is important for others who do not believe in any religion to know that the purpose of life is the key to straighten and shape the life of people, to do so the version that I am working on would base mainly on phychology and nature. In a nutshell you can say that this entry goes out to the non-believers(those who do not believe in God) as a form of preaching so that they do not abandon this code of life.

Woman

peace to all readers. The topic that I am about to discuss for today is woman. I have selected this topic because there is a special beauty that lie within every woman which I think I must share with others. As for myself, I am deeply in love with what I am going to share soon.

Woman in different cultures and societies are valued differently. Some have gone to the extreme of valuing a woman to the extent of creating a female idol to be worshipped, while others have degraded woman to the extent of practicing female infantide(killing of female newborn babies). We know that in many places around the world woman are being degraded, unfortunately woman have battle with the injustice that they are facing for quite some time. With regards to how much a woman is to be valued, I have selected the best way in which woman must be treated and valued. I have chosen to view woman in the light of Islam.

After Prophet Muhammad take on the role of prophethood, he started conveying God's message to the early muslims. One of the first thing that the prophet abolished was the burying of female newborn babies also known as female infanticide. Before Ababia was under the rule of Islam, there were mix communities of jewish, christians and the majority pagan arabs. The pre-Islamic period was also known as time of ignorance where people know the true God of Abraham but refuse to recognise Him as the Al-mighty. During those days, woman were treated very badly. Far worst than what we see today. They were made to run naked in public places, they were enslaved by others and many more.

To an arab family a girl child is considered to be a disgrace, this is because upon marriage, the girl will no longer hold the name of her father instead she would use her husband's name.Also its because woman are degraded in the society, family would face the risk of being shamed by other families. However when Islam preveils this problem was solved. In Islam the woman would keep her sir name even after marriage. For example when I get married to a woman in future, her name of birth will remain as it was. I am wondering besides Islam, which other religion, culture or traditions is similar to Islam where the surname of the woman does not change.

During the last sermon of the prophet, he told the people that the man have their rights over their wife and the wife have her rights over her husband. On top of that the man of the house are made to be responsible for the well-being of their wife. The man are to clothe them(wife), feed them and protect them. The prophet have brought the woman into a whole new level, where they are to receive proper treatment from the husband and society. The prophet also upgrade the status of a wife to be the partners and commited helpers of the husband.

In the Quran the book of authority in Islam there is a chapter call "Sura Nisa"(chapter women) which happens to be the fourth chapter in sequence and third longest chapter after "Al-Baqarah"(the cow) and "Al-Imran"(the family of Imran). The chapter on women deals extensively on women rights and obligations. I would like to use some of its contents to briefly show the true position of woman in Islam.(by the way quran is the only scripture that deals with woman's right in a community)

In the case of marriage, the woman is on the receiving end as for those man who wants to take her as a wife are obligated to produce a dowry. In Islam, the woman is totally free to choose if she wants to work or stay at home and deals with the home affairs. The men of the house on the other hand are suppose to feed and clothe their wifes, in other words the man of the house dont have a choice but to work and feed the family. Even at home the woman can choose not to do any home chores, she can choose not to do laundry, clean the house or anything like that. According to the example of the prophet, he does the home chores on his on, he wash his own clothes, do shopping and at the same time he have to work and earn money to feed his family. As a prophet of God he is doing it on his own, hence for a muslimin(muslim man) like me, I should not be complaining of the hardship because the prophet himself did it willingly.

In a case of divorce, the man is still responsible for the finance of his child if he has one. The mother of the child does not need to finance the child at all. If a wife happens to be working, she can keep her earnings to herself and does not need to share it with anyone. After some discussion on woman rights in muslim community, I would say that women have a higher probability of benefiting financially and psychologically. However the media have always been trying to portray a negative image of Islam by show violent images of woman being prosecuted. The video which is shown are minority groups who still practice oppression towards woman and they are practicing it according to their culture and not in the name of Islam.

In Islam if the wife misbehave, we are taught to advise her for the bad conduct. If she is persistent with bad behavior we are taught to sleep in separate beds(dont have any sexual intercourse with wife). If she still causes problem we can hit her very gently. Hitting is permissible but with the condition of not causing her to bleed, swell, fracture or damage to the skin. The verse continues by stating that if situation might worsen if you were to hit her, than dont hit her at all.

I might not be the best person to describe to you how woman are treated or if they are being oppressed by family, society, or the religion itself, however I am certainly sure that you would not get the accurate answer if you were to get answers from a non-muslim or people who dont know Islam. To be fair you have to ask a muslimah(muslim woman) on these issues to know the actual story.

My Professional Profiling

Synopsis


The topic that I have selected for this project would have a greater approach on awareness and informing rather than informing to my audiences on a well established company/industry or on hospitality events here in Singapore. I have specially selected topics on awareness as it reminds those who forgets and teaches those who are unaware on problems that Singapore is facing or even the threat that is about to come. My main objective for this project is to promote an ever changing society through commitment and struggles for a better future for all because as a son of this nation, I truly believe that Singapore can be strong yet beautiful nation. Strong and beautiful not in terms of power and wealth but in the hearts of the people more importantly. Changing every Singaporean into a responsible and thoughtful people would have a greater long term effect on the country rather than just making use of the authority to achieve the same goal. To illustrate, if you want a bag of rice from someone, the responsible and thoughtful way of getting it is by striking a deal by doing him a favour or trading, or the use of power where you show him who is stronger, than fool him to think that you will be his protector hence deserve the bag of rice. Most certainly and generally someone would say that the first way is wiser and healthier; however as human, when facing the real situation, our nature of greed, self-centred and possessions take control of ourselves and end up making the mistake which is the second way. Hence to solve this problem, the only way is to consistently remind each other regardless of our status, race or religion, to practice responsibility and righteous deeds and learn from our past mistakes to try to eliminate it as far as possible. As we have seen, Singapore is able to achieve great heights in a short period of time, overcome tough challenges along the way too. With the hard work of people before me, I see that it is my responsibility now to step up in the upcoming generation to continue work of the people before me. And I hope this piece of message can be useful for all.


The Signs


Observing the signs can be very useful tools because it helps to indicate to us our position, from it we can than determine the changes that needs to be done.


On top of that, the signs along with logical reasoning would also help strengthen the case that I am bringing forth.


In the signs section, I would like to discuss signs or symptoms that has come about to show the position that Singapore is in by comparing her with other developing nations. I would like to show the similarities that Singapore share with other leading nations and why many leading nations are facing the problem of declining Total fertility rate.
From the source was gathered from various websites which has in majority agreeing that the total fertility rate of the world is currently declining. Surprisingly within the south East Asia region, Singapore has the lowest fertility rate.


As we go to the west Europe region, developed countries they are also facing the same problem of declining birth rate. France 1.8, England 1.6, Greece 1.3, Germany 1.3, Italy 1.2 and Spain 1.1. As we have known those are also developing countries like Singapore(1.1). The question is why developed countries facing this problem.


Now if we were to shift back to East Asia many of the developing countries are also encountering this problem. Japan 1.2, South Korea 1.22 and Hong Kong 1.04 the developed nation in East Asia are all facing the problem too.
The pattern that we get here is why many developed countries encountering the problem. Experts have point out their views that although a developed country is recognised as countries that have a high level of development according to the Human Development Index where it comprises of three elements. They are Life expectancy, Literacy/Education and Standard of Living. Unfortunately under these criteria, the Human Development Index does not include the fertility rate of the country to indicate the strength ability of the country. Furthermore the fertility rate can also provide a systematic prediction of the potential manpower of the country.


The main question is although these developed countries are considered to be leading countries as compared to the developing countries and third world countries, in percentage wise the developing countries are suffering the greatest, a large proportion of developed countries is facing the problem and as time goes by the number is also growing. Hence one should seriously consider the logic behind this strange happening. Another important point to note is what is going to happen next.
In the study of fertility rate, a student who major the topic can confirm with us the seriousness of declining birth rate. Examples are extinction of culture, lack of manpower, slow development rate, affect the safety of citizens and increase the threat of being over ruled and many more. Stating this awareness might not alarm the people because the public would not be convinced that these statements are true unless more and more people are taking it into consideration as well.


Factors Affecting The Problem


The subject for my project is on declining birth rates specifically in Singapore. I chose to study on this topic because it might be the interest of the government to consider for the nation to prosper. Looking at labour force issue externally one can directly question why is Singapore highly dependent on foreign workers instead of local workers. However to clearly understand if Singapore really needs to highlight this issue as a concern to all, the case needs to be serious to a large extend.
There are various factors that can directly or indirectly contribute to the declining birth rate in Singapore which would then lead to other problems. This piece of work is dealing with a chain of problem one related to another hence the approach might not be specifically targeted at one field but the inter-related field which is needed to be reconsidered.


Verily we have known that Singapore is a labour intensive country where manpower is needed to maintain the rate of development of the country. A part of my research is to discover “the threats that Singapore might face when being too dependent on foreign workers?”, “why does Singapore need more and more foreign worker?”, “why hasn’t the benefit of incentives implied showing any improvement to the fertility rate?”.


Point number one, “the threats that Singapore might face when being too dependent on foreign workers?”. Dealing with the first point, the straight forward question can be answered that when Singapore is being too dependent on foreign worker, firstly it would meant that without the foreign workers Singapore will not be able to maintain the manpower needed to run the country. Hence without realizing we can no longer generate local manpower to run our country, and if a conflict were to break out between Singapore and a related country which provide us with their labourers, than the crisis of shortage of labour will occur. Hence we have to seriously look into this matter for the future of Singapore.


Point number two, “why Singapore is needing more and more foreign worker?”. The reason is because Singapore is struggling to increase its fertility rate to a position where she can maintain her culture. Currently the fertility rate of Singapore is at 1.1 for every female in Singapore considering that they lived to the end of their childbearing life. With the figures of 1.1 Singapore is ranked at 220, 1 being the highest fertility rate.


A documentary on fertility rate shows that in a research done, in order for a culture to maintain itself for more than 25 years, the minimum required fertility rate must be at least 2.11 per family and anything less the culture will decline. According to history, no culture has ever reversed once it reaches a fertility rate of 1.9 and if a culture reaches a fertility rate of 1.3 it would be impossible to reverse, it is because it will take 80 to 100 years to correct itself and during this time frame, the culture would have already suffered great lost and would be at the edge of extinction.


The very reason why the fertility rate here in Singapore is consistently declining for the past several decades is because we have already fall below 1.3 which is a state where the rate is irreversible and the rate will continue to drop until it ends. Knowing the situation that we are in and considering our probable future, it is definitely time to turn the table around and change the whole system. Sadly I know that in a short period of time major crisis that is unexpected will happen because the research has clearly shown our position. What will happen next no one knows but research is telling us that Singapore will experience setbacks we have never seen before as the setback is the down fall of the nation. Regardless of how advance and developed we can be, with a high standard of life, equipped with science and technology, once our platform crumbles everything else will fall too. A very simple example would be in the existence of man where he can be knowledgeable and wealthy, however the more basic requirement as a human would be food, water, air and shelter. With these elements the man can have energy and move, he can than work and learn to gain wealth and knowledge. We can say that the man is in a sane and stable condition, however to display Singapore using this example, we can say that the man has already achieved wealth and knowledge previously however because he was smoking too much, he suffered stroke where his body can never recover and he will be in that state for the rest of his life at the same time his body will also deteriorate. Being at that state, the best thing to do is to create awareness to others on the dangers of smoking meanwhile he is still alive because there is nothing that he could do to reverse the process so he can help to remind others instead.


*Things to note: two of the three points are on labour force which is indirectly related fertility rate. I emphasize on labour force as it will
help show how serious the problem is and how closely they are related.


Point number three, “why hasn’t the benefit of incentives implied showing any improvement to the fertility rate?”. Certainly in today context, it is normal for a Singaporean to think that having more than two child is going would have to spent a high cost for the child’s expenses in school and daily requirement until adulthood, hence parents would give a deep thought regarding family planning. There are more than ten reasons why Singaporeans to not choose this benefit, however I would only provide 3 reasons along some explanation. First reason economy situation, second reason increasing ideology of career mindedness, third reason shared culture.


Currently the economy of the world has been unstable. Firstly it would affect the World Bank, next the world, because the World Bank is controlling the majority of the world finance affair. Hence, this problem is not only affecting us Singaporeans internally but the outside world as well. When the world economy is unstable, it would cause the family planning of a couple to change as well. This is because the world that we are living today is dealing a lot with money. Especially here in Singapore, we use money daily, so money is a great importance to for us in our daily life. Now that it is known to us the importance of money and how much we need it, it is understood that the stability of economy can greatly affect decision making for family planning. It would now be clearer to us why couples are having problems to have more children. Since the world economy is generated by the World Bank, Singapore has totally no control of the gains and drops of the economy, this simple logic that is stated here is unavoidable because we are a part of the system. If the World Bank falls, the system will also fall, and if the system falls, the economy in Singapore would be chaotic.


Experts who study on history have discovered that the World Banking System is a dangerous idea, because its concept is similar to putting all eggs in a basket, hence putting every single one at stake. Instead of this system, the better way could be putting the power house regionally or independently. By doing so the world can still work together and at the same time not risking one to the other. The reason for it being carried out this way is because the World Bank has its own agenda according to the expert.


According to the Straits Times breaking news that was published on the September 28, 2009, there was an article on declining fertility rate. The title was “Fertility Rate Still Falling”. In there was a comprehensive observation of the Singapore’s declining fertility rate which was measured over several years or decades. Also on the same article, there was some additional information on increasing ideology of career mindedness. The article states “The report also found that higher-educated women have fewer children than lower-educated women”. And as we have known from today’s strong implementation on education would meant that more and more Singaporeans are moving towards career oriented majority. Being career oriented is a good choice to achieve greater heights in life. However if we were to link the observation on the article and the rising number of career orientation, it shows that firstly the good news is that Singapore is maintaining its education standard consistently, however the bad news is that according to observations higher educated woman have fewer children as compared to lower educated woman on an average, hence we can still see the same issue persisting in different angle.


Conclusion


At the end of the day after realizing the seriousness of the problem, as Singaporeans, no matter who we are, where we come from, what our status are, regardless of our race, language or religion it is the responsibility of all of us to achieve our common goal.


As the government have known and experienced that the incentives which they have provided has not convinced Singaporeans to have more babies, they have to further investigate what are the other factors that constitute to the problem and from there they can start to troubleshoot the obstacles.


From my experience which I gained from talks, I remembered during a speech from an expert who was discussing on world monitoring system, that today’s development concept is not balanced because the world that we lived today is very demanding towards what the world can provide. For example, the people from the past have learnt that if you were to take the goods which were harvested, then they must give time for the new crops to grow and for the soil to be fertile. In today’s context, the rate at which we are ripping off the goods is far too quick and time left to replenish is too short hence causing the imbalance effect. Observing closely, this could also be the reason that Singapore is facing today. As we observe from our past back in the late 80s the fertility rate of was a good 2.1 which was a stable figure, little that we have known that even during that time Singapore was developing fast, hence as time goes by the figure keeps dropping as people would give a second thought to have more children. The example here is similar as Singapore was ripping the goods and opportunity that she has however at the paste we were moving we neglect on harvesting back what was taken. As of now, most of the goals have been achieve, however when will we see, get or experience the good part of life that we have worked for?

My Professional Profiling (introduction)

Peace, First and foremost I would like to thank God(Allah) the Al-mightly, Alhamdulillah for blessing me with good health and showering me with Your guidance. Finally I have completed my so-called year two project also know as professional profiling or PP in short. After months of working and researching, I feel satisfied with the hard work that I put in. All the long hours of research and study on the topic, stay up all night to produce the drafts, reports and posters. I hope I can do more those activities in the future if I have the time and space, InsyahAllah(God willing).

Supposedly, the main theme of the project should be on research and study on companies or events here in Singapore or the globally. I did not really like the theme as it was too research based, no inference could be made, no option,views or prespective could be drawn out of it. When project becomes to research based, all you will get out of it are information to take note but nothing could be done.

Mostly students chooses to study on establishment or a company or an organisation, other than that they study on F1 events and all those kind of stuff. I was wondering what if I manipulate the project to make it appear as though it is about the industry but the content of it is purely on reality of life. Very similar to all the entries I had post. Most of my friends proceed on with the project drafting after they found the topic that they like to work on. As for me, I was still struggling to manipulate the whole face of the project, it was cheating in a way, but I cheat to make the work tougher compared to the original ones. It was seriously much more tougher, but more meaningful and handsome. haha

I structured the project into an awareness and I made it acceptable to the eyes of the accessors bu incluing Human development Index, Government, Labour Forces, ect, but in actual fact it is about Singaporean's social life. Luckily it was accepted and I moved on to the reports and the posters.

My fantasy objective here is to kill as many birds with one stone, but I know that it is almost impossible to even kill three birds with one stone. So I turn the stone into a magic stone. My main objective is some-what similar, I needed to complete the project, so on top selecting a topic it became an awareness, on top of that it was something that is related to my passion, on top of that the message was to guide people to the way of life and lastly, on top of that I am using it as by blog entry. So its killing one, two, three,... four birds with one stone. Well it should be that way, because I took 3 months to plan and structure before I exercute it. Now I can use this topic over and over again when-ever I need it to support my claim.

Tough Times

peace.. One after another they are coming, haunting me day and night. Assignments, project, journals, statements on and on. I didnt ask for it, I dont even want to do it, given the choice I would work my way to be who I really want to be. What is life like if you have to do something you dont like but dont have the freedom to take other paths. I would call that enslaved(to subject somebody to a dominating influence that takes away his or her freedom) by others. I have been praying to God to take away the difficulties I face, afterall His all-knowing and all-wise; maybe all this happen to me for a reason; a test of faith.

Datelines are piling up, one after another, work and work and work, all day all night, isnt it obvious that my life is like a robot, isnt it obvious that the systems are turning us into robots. Where is the freedom that each and every individual should have? Why are we the subjects of others? For them to use us, control us, correct us, wrong us, take us and throw us. Why do we have the mindset that in-order for us to survive we have to work for them? Where do we get this mindset from? Who are the people who benefit from our hard work? Are they involve in creating the slavery mindset to take control of us?

Are you facing those problems? Can you see or can you sense that this is slavery and we are on the system? Do you think that the culprits have managed to make slavery appear as progression? How did they do it? How does something as bitter as slavery slipped down our throat? How do they make something evil appear as blessing before our eyes? Do you still want to be in their company after knowing all the evil that they do?

Do you think that what you earn is from your hard work? Who is at the bottom of the slavery chain? What are they compared to us? What are we compared to the top of the slavery chain? What are the bottom chain compared to the top chain? Are there equal rights in this slavery chain? Shouldnt we as human live with each other and share our equal rights? Are the top chain ripping off portion of the bottom chain rights?
Is taking away peoples rights call in-justice? Are you supporting them if you remain this way? Are you supporting in-justice then? What is the way out?

When was the last time our fathers had freedom in life? In which era? Who took it away and when? What was life like back then? How can we get those moments of life back? What was their way of life? How does the community system operate in such a way that everyone has equal rights? What system does the community follow? Shouldnt that system be in use now instead of the slavery system? What ever the system is back then, isnt it perfect for all walks of life? What is the perfect system for all of us? A system where everyone can appreciate their own rights. Where one can really expand on one's true potential rather than have to be ordered by a higher class to fulfill their desires before we can persue on ours.

Those are questions that one has to find out to understand what has been going on from generation to generation, to understand how much people has strayed away from the straight path from time to time, to understand the purpose of life, to understand the way of life that all walks of life must comply to, to understand the evil that man do which must be avoided, to understand that such awareness are very important to straighten back the damage caused, to stay together until the end, through all the tough times.

Whats on my mind?

Peace. Facts by definition, something that can be shown to be true, to exist, or to have happened. Key words TRUE, EXIST and HAPPENED; just like a comprehension exercise back in school. Give a deep thought on those keywords. What can you do with it? Afterall they are just simple words which happen to be elements of a fact.

Mark my words, those words actually have the potential to change peoples life. Although they might be considered as something small, we cant deny that words greatly affect us and our lives. Words can influence and brainwash people to either become good or bad. Lets see how it works.

Our mind is a very sophisticated gift. It can capture, process and exercute what you see, hear, feel, taste and smell. No other human, not doctor nor scientist can come close to creating something similar to the natural capabilities of your brain. The nearest that mankind reach in obtaining an artificial brain is the brain of your computers. The CPU/processor to be exact. This computer brain is not even 1/100 of a human brain. For computers to generate data, they must convert all data into binary form. Binary form is a computers language, and binary form only consist of two characters 0 and 1. Thats all, unlike our brains, we can generate anything and everything that our 5 senses can pick up.

One have to believe that even scientist do not have the full understanding of a human brain, if they do, they would have created one long ago, the fact that they cant create another human brain goes to show that they havent got it yet. What they might have are theories from studies that they have done. One of those is the mind state. Studies have shown that there are two major state of mind, the conscious and sub-conscious state. The conscious mind is quiet straight forward, very simply its when you are conscious or aware what is around you. Meaning you know what you are doing, you are in control of yourself and aware of your surrounding. However the sub-conscious mind operates differently. Once you sleep or get drunk or anything like that, your conscious mind immediately give way and will only activate when you regain consciousness. The amazing thing is your sub-conscious mind operates 24/7. The moment you are born until the day you die, your sub-conscious mind would be operating. In the same way, I can tell you that when you sleep, you will leave your conscious mind temporarily but not your sub-conscious mind and when you die you will leave both your conscious and sub-conscious mind.

Isnt it amazing how your mechanism works. I have to tell you that the sub-conscious mind is where you store all of your memories. Short term and long term memories. It is so powerful that even at times when you are glancing at a particular object without even concentrating at it, your sub-conscious mind actually save the image that your eyes saw. That is the reason why at times you would wonder why you know strange things,things that you shouldnt know. There is nothing starnge, actually the sub-concious mind already store it in the brain without you knowing. Some experts say that you cant control your sub-conscious mind, and also some experts say that before we react, our sub-conscious mind has already started to dig out what ever knowledge your mind has and deliver them to the conscious mind. By the way the sub-conscious mind would be 1.5sec ahead of the conscious mind. So this is by order, firstly sub-conscious mind begin selecting data for 1.5se, secondly conscious mind send signals to the system to exercute it lastly we would react to the signals that was send by the brain.

From the state of mind just elaborated above, you should start to see that those who loves to watch the TV, many values are taken from there, seriously. In most cases this is what happen. When you find a movie character to be awesome in what-ever way, your sub-concsious mind has already started to absorb all those that you consider to be great, take note even your heart plays a part by accepting and rejecting what you see and hear, however after accepting or rejecting, your brains is the one which would analyse further.

As of now I would need you to expand your thinking on the state of mind. Apply it to yourself, see how it has been affecting you since your youth. It could be any experiences or encounters that you had in the past. You really adored and loved it so much that you adopted it. Some may find this very true, others might see it in a different way and there are also those who would not even think that it make sense.

I would try to make it as obvious as possible, but I am not hundred percent sure that it will work. Look at your life, look at the way you dress, look at the way you talk with your friends, look at your habits, ect... And we know that in almost every household there is a form of media(TV, radio, computers, ect...), these are the inputs that we put into our brains from a very young age. Count the number of movies you have watched, should be by the hundreds. Highlight the favorite ones, probably around ten to twenty. There is a very high possibility that you inherit some values from your favorite movies. There are many other possibilities, however I just want the readers to know how we are affected by the media and not to get carried away by it because you should live your own life not mirroring what you see in the TV set, be original.

What is happening to our generation? Youths are losing the ethical values, family values. They prefer to hang out with friends rather than having dinner with the family. Drugs and bad company dont mention, there are tons of it in movies that teens can learn from. Heard of recent cases where of some teens slashing and stabbing others in public, you know what is that call?>> terrorism. It is even happening right here in Singapore, but people would not care much, because the media only wants to potray terrorism with my religion, Islam. So everybody would only know that Islam promotes terrorism, but obviously this is not true because no religion on the face of earth promotes terrorism, so it is very ridiculous to claim that terrorism belongs to any religion.

It is obvious that a long term propaganda is going on in our nation and around the world. The hand-ful of people who are responsible for creating these propaganda has managed to fool the world and corrupts peoples mind by any possible way, government, media, politics, rulings. Almost in all angle and it is hard to avoid. However once you have the willingness to avoid those lies you will start to search then you will start to get answers. That is a part of my objective, to create awareness to prevent others from being misguided. Just stick along folks there are still many issues that I want to share, hang on alright.

A little too late

peace.. Just love the weather today. cloudy and windy and its a sunday. Probably going out later, currently its 5.04pm and the weather is very calm and relaxing(thank God). Today's entry is going to be a short one. Its a short study that I was doing months ago. This same topic had become my choice for my school project under professional profiling. Its a great experience to bring my own case to the accessors for the first time in my life. Its very similar to what a lawyer does, however a lawyer is trying to defend his/her client and for my professional profiling project I have to defend my claims.

Anyway just so you know the topic is on declining birth rate in singapore. Let me give an introduction to why Im selecting this topic. You might realize that I do not say anything good, all the entries and everything that is coming out from me is bad. You might even be thinking that im a negative, big-headed, ego person. Maybe I didnt explain my intentions well enough.

I am being taught in Islam to remind others and to bring them back to the straight path to the best of my ability. Even if I only know one word from the Quran, it will be best if I convey and not hold back thinking that I dont have enough knowledge to teach others. Im just making it a practice to convey the message to the best of my ability. Ofcourse I still love the world, even for all the bad things that has been done. I still love the people around me thats why im bothered to fight and kill the negativities in us. Although its not an easy task i would say, definitely i will not give up this task, because i believe that God and the believers are and will always be with me, to help assist me as all the believers are moving to the one same direction. See my job here might be seen by others as being firm and stern, but thats the only way it works.

Aite, back to the topic. Im quite sure that every single one of us living in this country can sense this problem, but im not too sure if you people can source out the problem of declining birth rate which is the main topic. Can you see that we have shortage of labourers, we need them and we got them from foreign countries mainly china, bangladesh, philippines, indonesia, india, ect. Without them i doubt this country can function for one day. Imagine what happens if WW3 occured and those foreigners have to return to their homeland, whats left of us then? These are setbacks we have to consider when being totally dependent of foreign workers.

There are so many problems that arises when the topic of foreign workers is brought forward. Many of the locals here are also unhappy because employment becomes more competitive, but the goverment do not have much choice either. Thats because its "A LITTLE TOO LATE" to change the situation. Let me provide you with some insights on the study of culture development.

Research has shown that for a culture to maintain iteself, it needs to have a minimum fertility rate of 2.1 per house-hold. Meaning the minimum requirement of fertility rate every singaporeans must have to maintain our culture is at-least 2 children per family. It continues... No culture has ever managed to bounce back if the fertility rate per family drops to 1.9. And once it drops until 1.3, its impossible to reverse because its an indication that something is really wrong with the country. It continues... During this time, it takes 80-100 years for the affected country to correct itself(meaning to throw the old system/culture and inherit the healthy one).

Above is a very good indicator to tell us where we are now. Im not too sure if you people have been keeping up with the news on incentives provided by government to increase fertility rate here. I have to tell you, our leaders are really worried on this problem, I should consider this as one of singapore's major problem. However the seriousness has not gone into the hearts of its people unfortunately. I can elaborate on why the incentives are not effective, it is a sub-topic, but will take quite a-while to explain. Maybe on the next one, insyahAllah.

Let put the indicator to the test and we use ourselves as the example. I am not too sure on the fertility figures in the past(you can check with your parents or grand-parents), but i am certainly sure that back then the fertility rate was way higher. It was 2.2 if im not wrong, back in the 50s and 60s. Than it droped to 1.6+ in the 70s and 80s(new policy of STOP AT ONE by government). 90s dropped further to below 1.3(government seen the potential threat). Since 2000 it has been 1.1 and below, it is steadily dropping but there was at one point of time where it gone up by just a fraction, however it plungged down quickly afterwards.

The figures differ when you look at different sources, however just stick with one, it will be roughly some-where around there. Either slightly above 1.1 or slightly below. So take the round-up figure of 1.1. Think of all the solutions that you wish to think. That is what the experts in this country has done. I would say that none of the solution will work as long as the government does not re-shuffle the whole system. It has gone below 1.3. it will keep dropping and more and more problem will arise such as, unemployment, slow development rate(in the past singapore was developing very fast, now seems to be slower),extinction of culture, threatens the safety of the citizens and many more.

At a larger scale most of the developed countries around the world is also facing the same problem. The affected developed countries are like france, england, greece, germany, italy, spain, japan, south korea, hong kong, singapore and many more. Developed countries should have roughly the same standard of living i suppose. Its a cycle if you people figure it out. Once a certain country attains a very high standard of living it will crumble back to ground zero and start all over again as a new begining.

Who decides whats good and whats bad??

peace to all. Have you ever wondered who in the world should decide what is good and what is bad for all? Do you think that there are groups of people who decides what is good and what is bad? Do you think they possess a great power among the 6 billion plus people? If yes or no why is that so?

Lets go into our practical life to see if the claims have already taken place. Take a look at yourself, look at how you dress, how you speak, what you see in public, what you see at home, look at your siblings, how are they similar or different from you and what causes it, look at your family and see how have they influenced you, look at your parents and recall what they have taught you since childhood, who influence your parents, which era does your parents belong to, how was the people like back then, now do you think they are some-how affected from the external factors(outside your home), obviously yes they are.

Before moving on to the external factors, what is the rational for external influences itself being unavoidable. Everyone has a mind of their own, in it is a very efficient and powerful medium that has the potential to make drastic changes to the world. It is the power to decide, unlike any other inhabitants on this planet, humans are the only species who has the ability to decide what is good and what is bad, what is wrong and what is right. Animals and plants only reacts by their instinct and survival needs.

Alright now lets try to list out the external factors that I was bragging about. Starting of with a young child, probably a baby. As a baby, their minds are free from the world thats why we always say babies are innocent. In fact they are, they have not develop the ability to distinguish what is right and what is wrong, all they can do is follow. The first few people that they would follow are most likely the people closest to them, probably parents and siblings. So readers do take into consideration when you have a child in future because you are the first influencial figure for your child.

The main issue that I have with parents who is bringing up their children is they are unaware of the things that their child are pick up as they grow. Have you ever wondered how a child at a very young age becomes very rude and crude. In actual fact they are not rude, they are just mirroring what they see, because young kids just follow what they see without knowing if its correct or wrong. I can tell you this, the television is one of the biggest culprit to your child's upbringing. I will post on that topic if I have the time, "the media".

As fot the topic that above, the main emphasis that I want to point out is, humans have gone too far in tying to control the world. Some of you might think that there is no problem with trying to control the world. As we can see today, different people from different places have different way of thinking. For example in terms of modesty. In different culture modesty is viewed differently. For some culture in the west wearing mini skirts are modest but not for others in asia for example. For some culture its modest to have intermingling between opposite sex, however in other region staring between opposite sex is considered as immodest. So the big question is who decides what are suppose to be considered modest and what are suppose to be considered as immodest? Keep the answers at the back your mind.

The answers that you would have at the back of your mind is actually the character that you believe in to have the highest authority in your life. If you think that the government should decide what is good and what is bad hence they(government) would be the one you look up on. If you think that the UN(united nations) should decides what is right and what is wrong, hence you look up to the UN. If you think that US(united states) should decide what is good and what is bad, hence they are your head figure. And if you think that God should decide what is good and what is bad, hence you are the follower of God. Is that simple, so main differences that sets human apart is the way we think and accepting or rejecting peoples prespective.

Well my choice is God, I fully submits to his will when I recite the kalimah(the words), that there is no other god but Allah(the one God), and Muhammad may gods please and blessing be upon him is the messager of Allah. This is also what every other muslims believe in too. This is my choice because the Quran which is the words of God(I will prove it to you in next entry) is the only book that speaks about the whole truth. And no other books or scriptures has the most accurate and most factual content as compared to the Quran.

There are many verses in the Quran that refers to science, astronomy, biology, zoology and many more. In those verses the Quran describes on the expansion of the universe, and movement of the sun and the moon very accurately. The strange thing is that those discoveries were discovered only recently some dacades others one or two hundred years ago, as we know the Quran was produced and completed about 1400 years ago. Certainly during that time they dont have the technology to venture the space with their naked eyes. This is only one example, in the Quran there are hundreds of verses similar to the example that I gave. At the moment there seems to be zero scientific errors in the Quran, there is also no contradictions in the Quran. I believe that there will never be any error since the day of its completion until the end of time.

Confession of an Extremism

My peace greetings to readers. Such a great world that we are living in full of wonders and mysteries. Have you ever wondered how long have the earth been around before time. Try to imagine the first man who step this earth until this point of time. Think of the changes that has taken place through the ages. Now just bring those thoughts to nature, knowing that in nature everything has its beginning and its end, how about earth? Will this world come to an end.

Dont relate what i have just pointed out to what you see in television, 2012 and all of that non-sense. Seriously, most of the information that we get from the media particularly on entertainment section are fiction, but people tend to relate it to the real world. I will share with you on that issue some other time, as it is not part of the topic, im pointing this out to draw the line so you will know the direction that we are heading.

Back to nature, the world as we have known has change so much. We humans have slowly and steadily become more and more advance. This is a wonderful phenomena for human race. Can you imagine how much science and technology has contributed to our standard of living. Everyone should be grateful of our achievement so far because we have struggled to make earth a better place for all of its inhabitants.

In todays entry, i will not discuss a-lot on the great establishment of mankind, but rather i would like to discuss on the danger of extremism. Well the main platform that i will be using is on science and technology. I choose to write on this subject because im concern with the growing influence in our society. Notice that i did not reject or condemn the idea of having science and technology as part of human development. However i do reject and condemn the idea of "extremism in science and technology".

Personally i condemn any form of extremism. Extremism in religion, culture, tradition, practices on and on. By definition extremism is, "the holding of extreme political or religious views or taking of extreme actions on the basis of those views". In wikipedia it is, "the actions of ideologies of individuals or groups outside the perceived political center of a society or claimed to violate common moral standards. See so its not only me who opposes the idea of extremism, according to the source that i have provided, even the society claimed that it violates moral standards.

Let me share with you why extremism is dangerous. In the example which i have provided earlier on, "science and technology are accepted by the society because it is a part of human development”, must be supported because those people are striving for our sake, however there are another group of people who becomes to obsess or extreme with the superiority of science and technology that they leave everything else behind. To them they are god or greater than god with science and technology. This is one of the many confession of an extremism.

Is it true that you can have all the power of the world if you have all the science and technology? Not an easy question i would say. Definitely you will be some-one great if you control those two field. You will have the power to control many things. However you must remember that even those two fields have its limitation. Now science cannot control the sun and the moon. Science cannot control the rotation of the earth. Science cannot control how you and i think. Science cannot control the future. And technology needs science to develop. So now we know that science and technology is not all powerful after-all.

Now it is my concern to my fellow man that has gotten the whole idea wrong. What we should do is remind each other and bring all those who transgress back to the correct path. For those of you who is suffering from the problem of extremism, let me tell you what it can cause. In the case of science and technology, if you are an extremist in that area, one of the problem that you might face is becoming an atheists(somebody who does not belief in God or deities). Why atheist? Well in most cases an atheist would come into thinking that science has reach the position to over-write every single ideology on earth.

There is a big problem that will surface if you become an atheist. Its the code of conduct that will be the problem. The one thing that is missing is the authority. You see when you dont belief in God hence you would tend to think that nothing else is greater than you, which means you do not need to comply to anything else. Its not much of a harm if only one person practise it, however its a big problem if a whole community, society or country practise it. If this happen, the whole community can have barbaric life and instead of moving forward they will be moving backwards. Get what im trying to say? There will be no such thing as murder. You can be naked in public places. No dis-respect to atheist, but this is one possibility that can happen in our society, unless we dismiss it ourselves.

Now in the case where an atheist still thinks that it might not be that bad if they adopt the good practices from all the different ideologies but still not belief in God. A hybrid atheist i suppose or some might say atheistic religion. Definitely it is still not safe, because now they can decide what to take from the sources. They can structure their code of conduct to their advantage. Trying to be smart ah! But you can out-smart the Creator.

See what they are doing is playing with THE system. They are deciding whats right and whats wrong for them. Now i urge readers to find out who should decide what is right and what is wrong? Give me your answer and reasoning, one correct answer and good reasoning will be rewarded with a copy of the Holy Quran.

Ok at this point of time, an atheist friend would want to defend their belief of no god by pointing out the disadvantage of all religions. They will say, as for them they do not need to belief in a god which is above them which can neither speak nor hear what they pray for, so to say that belief in god is just a waste of time. Well dont argue just smile and say if thats the case you are missing something very important in life, guidance.

Scarily Strange

Peace to all. People, we got to start wondering why things happen. There is no such thing as system, concept, rules or regulation that are made ,so just comply. Come on, dont fall for the trap so easily. My dear readers, all these systems were created for a particular reason, please start opening your eyes. You might not understand what im trying to convey here so please stay close. Dont ever think that we are living in a free world, if you do, you are lagging behind. Wake up. Learn, see and understand that mankind would want to overcome each other. One man would like to make another man think the way he thinks for his own benefit. Try to zoom out and look at a larger scope, you will see what im trying to say. I call this programming, not the computer term, but the idea of psycho-ing others to think in a certain way so that they will buy the story and become a puppet.


That is exactly how these systems operate, what it actually does is that it manipulate your thinking in a certain way. Once you agreed and inherit the system, you will be one of the followers. Now these systems are nothing without numbers, its main aim is to create a population of its own to make the system stronger. So dont follow systems blindly, understand its agenda. Im not saying that all systems are corrupted, but we have to start searching, because there is only one way, one system that is the right one. Please ask me if you are interested to know, im willing to share.

So you will be wondering what kind of system am i refering to. Lets be direct, im referring to system such as democracy, communism, secularism, socialism, confusionism, hinduism, buddhism, judaism and the list goes on and on. Now im telling you guys out of those in the list, there is only one which is the truth. Not only me, there are many people before me who have done the same thing too. I do urge readers to do a small homework to find the truth. Its very simple, do some search and understanding of the systems that i have been talking about. Along the way, while you are searching you will reach at a point where you realise that all the systems have no answer to life, you will find that all the systems are manmade and its created to fulfill the desires of mankind. Except for ONE. There is only this one system that is different from the rest.

The one system that i was referring is the only system that is suitable for the whole of mankind. People from the west to east, north to south. From the young to old. From the rich to poor. For the wrong and the right. For the good and the bad. It is more than a religion, more than a law of the universe, more than system,concept,principle all put together.

Now if you are paying attention you would notice that im being vague. You would be wondering why am i beating around the bush and not going straight to the point. I will tell you why, im in the process of putting the readers mind into a thinking state. Im not telling you the answer just like that, but im hinting and hinting to make you understand what is the true reality of life. Dont think too hard, take in only what your mind can accept at the moment. I got to tell you that my job here is not easy. haha. Seriously!! This entire blog really needs a good structure and planning. hey but i love challenges, so im still enjoying although its tough. Slowly ok. Hopefully through my hardwork, we can reach our destiny together.

Back to business. OK, the system that you are following, what-ever it is, be it democracy, be it nationalism or christianity, it is not easy to give it up for another. In those system, there is a pulling factor that attracts the followers. What you got to do is find its weakness, one would be that the system brings no benefit to you. Unless you have found the right system which i was talking about, then there is no need for you to find another. Once you have reached the state you should go deeper and deeper.

Alright i am suppose to settle some unfinish business if you have been following me from my previous entry. So how has education here in singapore got anything to do with systems? Its very simple to catch the knot here. Thanks to my explanation earlier. Just observe singapore's education system. Lets roughly go through singapore's education system. Every singaporean needs to have an education level of at-least primary school level. Why is that so? why cant we have our own choice and paths for our children. What if i want my child to have a special skill where he/she needs to work for it from a young age. As you can see the education system leaves us with no choice but only to comply with it. Let me tell you why the system is as such. Like i have pointed out earlier on, there is a pulling factor in every system, so the education system needs to make use of the primary school life so that we wont get diverted into other areas. The process that we go through during our primary school lifes are actually an important stage of the aducation system to tke control of our mind. try to give a thought about it.

Essence of Knowledge

Peace greetings to fellow readers. There are many things which I would like to share with others, some how it takes time to pick the different subjects that I want to share. So it would be great if people can trigger some problems for me to troubleshoot, however I cant promise you that i'll get the answer. Here are some insights about me, I really really love to have dialogue and exchange pointers with other. I do this a lot with friend in school and outside, so far i've enjoyed the experience because some of them poses question which i really cant answer; clueless. Im the kind of guy who would always wonder how things happen in a certain way. You can call that dreaming, however i think that although it may seem that im dreaming, the fact is that im finding answers. Well as we know to find answers we need knowledge.

Now let me express how knowledge becomes useful. See, knowledge by definition is awareness of information, facts, ideas, truths or principles. So everyone must understand that knowledge is a precious gift from an infinite source( because scientist havent discover the source of knowledge ). Please understand that knowledge is precious, loving knowledge will only turn you into a better person. If you love yourself, you got to love knowledge. To summarise the points, Knowledge would becomes useful when one connects it to his/her life, if not the knowledge serves no purpose.

In a simpler term, you got to spread your knowledge to others so that it will continue and others can appreciate it. Once you stop practicing it you can say that the knowledge is busted.

Looking at todays context of knowledge, there is a big misconception going on. My intention here is to express my views on this matter. From the times of our childhood, we have been taught, reminded, programmed by teachers or parents to have a mind-set of attending school to reach higher education level in exchange for a good qualification to become successful in life, now wait a minute... Where has the value of knowledge gone? Go to school to be successful? Lets do some correction, we go to school to learn and understand things around us so that we can make use of the knowledge in our life journey. Dont feel awkward upon seeing the correction version of going to school, want to know why? Its because we have been taught of the wrong version since the day our mind start thinking.

I will try to make it clearer. Try observing the people around us. They are actually working very very hard because they want to have a good qualification as they believe that it is the key to success. They are mirroring what their teachers told them decades ago, thats how influential people can be, they can change people's life with words. However, we got to think rationally and logically, this terminology is totally untrue, what we are seeing today is, if you are concern about your life you will be successful regardless of whether you got good education or not. This is a simple fact, if you know psychology it would be easier. Its all in the mind. If one tells himself to be someone worthy he will find the means and way to reach his goal. Ultimately every individual has his/her perspective of being successful. I can say, to me having a stable income monthly although not too high would be a form of success for me, while others might think otherwise.

These are simple examples that i have given to refute the idea of study hard to be successful in future. At this point of time, my elaboration of the topic have led us to another question, but it is not a part of this topic, so i'll move on to part 2.

The Supporting Wing part 2

the revelation from God through the angel known as Gabriel/Jibrael. Those revelation that prophet Muhammad receives were recorded and revealed through words of mouth or written down by ink(Al-Quran). Prophet Muhammad continue receiving the peaceful message through-out his prophethood life of 23 years. More of the insights of the prophet Muhammad would come along the way, as for now I would move on to another area.

As for a great man like Prophet Muhammad pbuh, it would be unfair to write a brief description of him to have a good understanding of who he really was, so readers please keep up with this blog as I would try to the best of my ability to tell you more as I go along.

Skipping on the long introduction that I've made, I would like to share the character of prophet Muhammad. Back then there was a say of "the Wing of Islam". This term was referring to the caliph/leader of Islam after the death of the prophet. It was specifically referring to Abu Bakr as Siddiq and Umar Al-Khattab, the first and second caliph of Islam respectively. They were the companions of the prophet during his life time. Such titles were attributed to them because if you were to talk about Abu Bakr r.a., you'll end up talking about Umar r.a. That was how close they were to each other. It was written in a hadith(saying and deeds of the prophet), that if you were to see the prophet walking, he will be accompanied by Abu Bakr and Umar by his side, and when he leaves accompanied by Abu Bakr and Umar, he will return with Abu Bakr and Umar still by his side.

If we were to put ourselves in todays context, one would be wondering why a man with the status of messanger of God would still have a great connection with his companions? As for ourselves, knowing that we are no-where near to the greatness of a prophet, staying together would be more important for us. We cant walk this earth alone, not even the prophet of God, because we must still remember that he is still human and humans have limitations, so the prophet still rely on others just like us.

The Supporting Wing

My word’s of peace to fellow readers. Have you ever wondered what would happen if you try to accomplish everything in life on your own. It’s impossible!! Today I would like to share some of my opinions on the beauty of togetherness in all of us. Before I begin, I would like to share an incident which happened earlier today. Well today was my first day in a new class, it was also a new module known as management info system (it is how businesses fuse into the IT world; basically it is the transition state where a raw business enters into an IT world). Quite interesting, but tough to draw the line between IT and Business. Btw these two fields work pretty well, I mean for today's standard of business, IT is a must. Back to the incident, so as usual in school I had to work in a team for the whole day and at the end of the day all teams have to present their understanding of the topic. I was working with two other individual, a guy and a lady, at the start of the day everything started well, the two fellers including me were smiling as we work, we were also getting to know each other. I was thinking in my mind that this must be a great day as we are all motivated. I really have high hopes for my team. As we work along the true colours start appearing, I seriously can’t imagine how at one moment I can think so highly of someone and the next moment is totally the opposite.

We got kind of busy later during the day but the team was still holding on, there’s still togetherness at this point of time. Then its break time... came back from break guess what, the worst thing happen. I don’t know for some reason, my team member the lady refuses to work together. hahax..
